Step in to this contemporary five-floor Georgian townhouse and you feel like you have walked into a private member’s club. New head chef Tommy Boland has led kitchens for Philip Howard and Tom Aikens. With his background of working at several Michelin starred restaurants, Tommy has fresh ideas and delivers a delicious fusion of British gastronomy with French cooking techniques.
The new menu includes mouth-watering new dishes, with starters such as Cornish mackerel with oyster, radish, pickled cucumber and ice lettuce. Mains include roasted turbot with celeriac purée, winter greens, charred potatoes and hazelnut and black truffle pesto. Then finish off with pistachio soufflé and bitter chocolate ice cream.
This is the perfect date-night restaurant and there is also a roof terrace with amazing views across London, a buzzy bar area on the ground floor, a dark and moody nightclub in the basement (The Birdcage) and a stylish elegant private dining room that accommodates up to 40. The whole restaurant seating up to 52 can also be hired out.
