A buzzy, warm softly lit restaurant smelling of fresh baked dough and truffle – what’s not to love? Traditional Italian pizza from the heart of Naples arrives in Kilburn at the hands of Tony and his passionate team.  The bright red tiled wood fired pizza oven was built on site with bricks from Naples and cooks just two pizzas at a time to ensure optimum cooking temperature and environment. There are two types of pizza – the classics ie margarita et al, and the ‘different’ ones featuring things like black truffle salsa and pistachio pesto (not together, but you could probably ask!). This is seriously good pizza. There are pasta dishes, risottos and a couple of salads, plus zucchini fries, bruschetta, arancini and more on the menu. Kids eat for just £1 (small classic pizza and a soft drink) and – get this – that £1 is donated straight to the NSPCC!

The wines play an important role too – a small but interesting selection specially bottled for the restaurant. We were excited to see our fave white – Falanghina – not only featured, but as the house wine. You simply have to finish off with Stracccetti Quartierella – sugar-coated doughnut pizza strips covered with creamy chocolate hazelnut sauce.

Review:

‘We had bruschetta to start which was exceptional – it was perfectly seasoned and the quality of the tomatoes was incredible.’ Danni

‘I think we’re now converts. Needless to say that the fried pizza dough with chocolate and hazelnut spread did not disappoint, but how could it?’ Marilia

‘The best Italian I’ve visited in a long time. GO!GO! GO! Amazing value and amazing food.’ Caron
