When Tootoomoo first opened in Crouch End it was what north London had been waiting for – West End-quality Pan Asian cuisine at north London prices. To boot it was (and still is) quirky and innovative with an evolving menu of increasingly tantalising dishes. With loveable and super savvy Phillip at the helm, it quickly grew to become a favourite local hotspot and last year a second restaurant was opened in Whetstone.
Salmon salad and tuna sashimi get the tastebuds tingling while the trio of tempura fish in gently spiced Asian seasoning is a whole new adventure waiting to be experienced! The classic duck & watermelon salad features the juiciest, softest, largest chunks of watermelon and fab meaty chunks of crispy duck. Peppered beef fillet and miso blackened cod are two standout dishes and the egg fried rice is soft and sticky with proper chunks of scrambled egg and fresh peas. The cocktails are fun and reasonably priced and Crouch End has just had a sexy refurb. All in all it’s Tootoogood!!
Bottomless weekend brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 5pm, £35 per person with alcohol, £25 without.
